James is an experienced physiotherapist with a background in sports therapy. He is committed to providing patient-centred care and places a strong emphasis on ensuring individuals feel listened to, supported, and informed throughout their rehabilitation. His clinical approach supports patients across the full pathway from injury rehabilitation through to return to activity and performance-focused training.

James’ practice is informed by advanced biomechanical principles and evidence-based performance methodologies. His work integrates contemporary rehabilitation science with established strength and conditioning frameworks, drawing on professional standards and guidance associated with organisations including ACE, CIMSPA, NSCA, and NASM. This allows him to apply structured, progressive, and clinically reasoned exercise prescription that is appropriate for both recovery and longer-term physical development.

He has worked with a broad and varied patient population, including rugby players, CrossFit athletes, dancers, gymnasts, strength athletes, martial artists from grassroots to international level, as well as individuals with no sporting background. James values understanding each patient’s personal circumstances, goals, and functional demands in order to deliver care that is relevant, realistic, and sustainable.

Alongside his clinical practice, James remains actively involved in strength sports and martial arts. This experience provides additional insight into training demands, injury risk management, and return-to-performance decision making. While reducing pain and restoring movement are central aims of treatment, James places equal importance on rebuilding confidence, physical capacity, and long-term self-management.

Patients can expect a professional, supportive, and outcomes-focused approach, with interventions tailored to individual needs and underpinned by clinical reasoning and best practice. The aim is not only to facilitate recovery, but to enable patients to return safely and confidently to the activities that are important to them.

Together, we’ll get you back to doing what you love most!
